This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when customers may cancel an order, request a return, or receive a refund for services provided by Alicarrier.
Alicarrier provides product sourcing, purchasing assistance, supplier communication, China warehouse receiving, basic inspection, photography, parcel consolidation, repacking, and international shipping services.
Because Alicarrier often purchases products from independent Chinese suppliers on behalf of customers, cancellation and refund eligibility depends on:
- The current stage of the order
- Whether the supplier has already been paid
- Whether the supplier accepts returns
- Whether the goods have arrived at our warehouse
- Whether warehouse services have already been completed
- Whether the goods have been handed to an international carrier
- The rules of the supplier, marketplace, payment provider, carrier, insurer, and customs authority
By submitting an order or making a payment, you agree to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. Alicarrier’s Role
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Alicarrier acts as a purchasing and logistics service provider rather than the manufacturer or original seller of the goods.
Products may be sourced from:
- 1688
- Taobao
- Tmall
- Alibaba.com
- Chinese factories
- Chinese wholesalers
- Other approved suppliers or marketplaces
Product returns and refunds may therefore depend on the original supplier’s policies and approval.
Alicarrier will provide reasonable assistance in communicating with suppliers, but we cannot guarantee that a supplier will accept a cancellation, return, replacement, or refund.
2. Cancellation Before Payment
A quotation or sourcing request may normally be cancelled without charge before the customer makes payment and before Alicarrier begins any paid or specially requested service.
However, separately agreed sourcing, consultation, sample procurement, inspection, or supplier-verification fees may remain payable if the relevant work has already been completed.
3. Cancellation After Payment but Before Supplier Purchase
If Alicarrier has received payment but has not yet paid the supplier, the customer may request cancellation by contacting us immediately.
Where cancellation is approved, the refundable amount may be reduced by costs already incurred, including:
- Payment-processing fees
- Bank charges
- Currency-conversion costs
- Exchange-rate losses
- Supplier communication charges
- Sourcing or administrative fees
- Other non-refundable third-party charges
Cancellation is not effective until Alicarrier confirms it in writing.
Because supplier payments may be processed quickly after an order is confirmed, customers should submit cancellation requests as soon as possible.
4. Cancellation After the Supplier Has Been Paid
Once Alicarrier has paid the supplier, cancellation is subject to the supplier’s return and refund rules.
A refund cannot be guaranteed at this stage.
Where the supplier agrees to cancel or refund the order, the customer may remain responsible for:
- Purchasing service fees
- Supplier cancellation charges
- Marketplace fees
- Payment-processing fees
- Bank charges
- Currency-conversion losses
- Chinese domestic shipping costs
- Supplier restocking fees
- Return shipping costs
- Communication and administrative costs
Alicarrier will issue the applicable refund only after the corresponding funds have been returned by the supplier or marketplace.
5. Cancellation After Goods Have Been Shipped by the Supplier
If the supplier has already dispatched the goods to our China warehouse, the order may only be cancelled if:
- The supplier agrees to accept the return; and
- The package can legally and practically be returned.
The customer will be responsible for all related costs, which may include:
- Original Chinese domestic shipping
- Return shipping to the supplier
- Warehouse receiving fees
- Parcel identification fees
- Inspection or photography fees
- Storage fees
- Repacking fees
- Supplier restocking charges
- Purchasing service fees
- Payment and currency-conversion costs
If the supplier refuses the return, Alicarrier cannot require the supplier to issue a refund.
6. Cancellation After Goods Arrive at Our Warehouse
Customers may request cancellation before international shipment, but acceptance is not guaranteed.
A return may be possible when:
- The original supplier accepts the return
- The return period has not expired
- The goods remain in an acceptable condition
- Original packaging, labels, seals, and accessories are available where required
- The goods are not customized, restricted, perishable, or otherwise non-returnable
- The customer pays all applicable return and handling costs
Services already completed are non-refundable, including:
- Product sourcing
- Purchasing assistance
- Supplier communication
- Warehouse receiving
- Product photography
- Basic inspection
- Quantity checking
- Parcel consolidation
- Repacking
- Protective reinforcement
- Storage already used
- Customs-document preparation
- Other completed services
7. Customer-Purchased Goods Sent to Our Warehouse
Some customers purchase products directly and send them to the Alicarrier warehouse for consolidation or international shipping.
For these orders, Alicarrier is not the product seller and does not receive the product purchase payment.
Therefore:
- Product refunds must be requested from the original seller or marketplace.
- Alicarrier cannot guarantee that the seller will accept a return.
- The customer is responsible for all return and warehouse costs.
- Completed Alicarrier services remain non-refundable.
- Alicarrier may assist with return shipping where operationally possible.
8. Cancellation After International Shipping
An order cannot normally be cancelled after the package has been:
- Handed to an international carrier
- Export-declared
- Loaded for transportation
- Dispatched from the warehouse
- Entered into customs processing
International shipping charges, export-processing charges, customs-document charges, and completed warehouse-service fees are generally non-refundable after dispatch.
If a shipment is returned by the carrier or customs authority, the customer may be responsible for:
- Return transportation
- Customs charges
- Storage
- Inspection
- Disposal
- Re-delivery
- Address correction
- Customs brokerage
- Other carrier or government charges
A returned shipment does not automatically qualify for a full refund.
9. Product Returns
A product-return request must include:
- Customer name
- Alicarrier order number
- Supplier order number, where available
- Product name
- Reason for return
- Clear photographs or videos
- Details of any defect, damage, or discrepancy
- The requested resolution
Returns must not be sent without written approval and confirmed return instructions.
Unauthorized returns may be rejected, delayed, lost, or charged additional handling and storage fees.
10. Non-Returnable or Non-Refundable Products
Products may be non-returnable where the supplier, marketplace, applicable law, or product condition does not permit a return.
Examples may include:
- Customized or personalized goods
- Made-to-order products
- Products manufactured to customer specifications
- Printed or branded packaging
- Products with engraved names or logos
- Perishable goods
- Food products
- Opened hygiene-sensitive products
- Used or damaged goods
- Products with missing labels, packaging, accessories, or components
- Digital products or activated licenses
- Clearance or final-sale products
- Restricted or regulated goods
- Products that cannot legally be returned or transported
- Products outside the supplier’s return period
The exact return eligibility will depend on the supplier and the nature of the goods.
11. Incorrect, Missing, or Defective Products
Customers should review warehouse photographs and inspection information promptly.
If the warehouse identifies an obvious issue before international shipment, the customer may request that Alicarrier:
- Contact the supplier
- Request a replacement
- Request missing items
- Request a return
- Request a partial or full supplier refund
- Hold the goods while the issue is investigated
A basic Alicarrier inspection is limited to visible and reasonably detectable issues. It does not guarantee identification of:
- Internal defects
- Hidden damage
- Electrical faults
- Material composition
- Product authenticity
- Long-term durability
- Safety compliance
- Regulatory compliance
- Performance under normal use
- Differences not visible without specialist testing
Supplier approval is required for any supplier-funded refund or replacement.
12. Damage or Loss During International Shipping
Claims involving loss or damage during international transportation are handled under the applicable carrier or insurance rules.
Customers must notify Alicarrier as soon as possible after discovering a problem and within the carrier’s applicable claim period.
The customer may be required to provide:
- Order number
- Tracking number
- Photographs of the complete external package
- Photographs of all shipping labels
- Photographs of the internal packaging
- Photographs or videos of the damaged goods
- An unboxing video
- Proof of product value
- Commercial invoice
- Repair quotation
- Other evidence requested by the carrier or insurer
Customers must retain the goods and all packaging until the investigation is complete.
Compensation may be limited by:
- The carrier’s liability rules
- Declared shipment value
- Insurance coverage
- Available evidence
- Packaging condition
- Product exclusions
- Claim-submission deadlines
Alicarrier will provide reasonable assistance, but we cannot guarantee that a carrier or insurer will approve a claim.
13. Shipping Insurance
Where optional shipping insurance is available, customers should request and pay for insurance before international dispatch.
Insurance terms may include:
- Coverage limits
- Excluded goods
- Deductibles
- Evidence requirements
- Packaging requirements
- Claim deadlines
- Compensation calculations
If the customer declines available insurance, compensation for loss or damage may be limited to the standard liability offered by the selected carrier.
Shipping insurance does not normally cover product quality disputes, supplier defects, customs seizure, prohibited goods, inaccurate declarations, normal delay, or losses excluded by the applicable policy.
14. Customs Rejection, Seizure, or Destruction
Refunds are not guaranteed where goods are delayed, rejected, returned, seized, confiscated, or destroyed because of:
- Import restrictions
- Prohibited or undeclared goods
- Missing permits
- Incorrect product descriptions
- Incorrect customs values
- Customer-provided inaccurate information
- Intellectual-property concerns
- Unpaid taxes or duties
- Recipient failure to cooperate
- Customs or government action
The customer is responsible for checking whether the goods may legally be imported into the destination country.
Any recoverable amount will depend on the circumstances, carrier rules, customs decisions, supplier policies, and whether the goods are returned in a usable condition.
15. Failed Delivery and Returned Parcels
A refund will not normally be issued for failed delivery caused by:
- An incorrect or incomplete address
- An incorrect recipient name
- An inactive telephone number
- Recipient absence
- Refusal to accept delivery
- Failure to pay duties or taxes
- Failure to provide customs documents
- Failure to respond to the carrier
- Failure to collect the parcel
- Delivery restrictions at the destination
The customer is responsible for additional charges resulting from return, storage, address correction, re-delivery, disposal, or customs processing.
16. Service Fees
Fees for services already performed are generally non-refundable.
These may include:
- Product sourcing fees
- Purchasing-agent fees
- Supplier communication fees
- Product verification fees
- Inspection and photography fees
- Warehouse handling fees
- Consolidation fees
- Repacking fees
- Packaging-material charges
- Storage fees
- Documentation fees
- Customs-coordination fees
- Payment-processing fees
- Currency-conversion costs
If only part of a service has been completed, Alicarrier may determine whether a partial service-fee refund is appropriate based on the work already performed and costs already incurred.
17. International Shipping Fee Adjustments
Shipping quotations issued before final packing are estimates unless expressly confirmed as final.
The final shipping cost may change because of:
- Actual weight
- Volumetric weight
- Package dimensions
- Shipping-route availability
- Fuel surcharges
- Remote-area charges
- Product classification
- Special handling
- Customs requirements
- Carrier rate changes
- Additional packaging
If the final shipping cost is higher than the estimate, Alicarrier will normally request payment of the difference before dispatch.
If the confirmed amount paid exceeds the final eligible shipping charge, the remaining balance may be refunded or credited to the customer, subject to payment-processing and currency-conversion costs.
18. Refund Amounts and Deductions
An approved refund may be reduced by:
- Completed service fees
- Supplier charges
- Marketplace charges
- Payment-provider charges
- Bank fees
- Currency-conversion costs
- Exchange-rate differences
- Domestic and international shipping
- Return shipping
- Storage and warehouse handling
- Packaging costs
- Customs and government charges
- Carrier or insurance deductions
- Other documented costs incurred for the order
Alicarrier will provide a refund calculation or explanation where reasonably practical.
19. Refund Method and Processing Time
Approved refunds will normally be sent through the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Where the original method cannot receive a refund, Alicarrier may request alternative verified payment details.
Refunds will normally be initiated within 7–15 business days after:
- The refund has been approved;
- The corresponding funds have been received from the supplier, carrier, insurer, marketplace, or payment provider where applicable; and
- The customer has provided any required payment information.
The time required for funds to appear in the customer’s account depends on the bank, payment provider, currency, and destination country.
Alicarrier is not responsible for additional processing delays caused by banks or third-party payment providers.
20. Exchange Rates
Cross-border orders may involve multiple currencies.
Refunds are calculated based on the funds actually recovered and the exchange rate available when the refund is processed.
Alicarrier is not responsible for differences caused by:
- Exchange-rate movements
- Bank conversion rates
- Payment-platform conversion rates
- Multiple currency conversions
- International transfer charges
The refunded amount received in the customer’s local currency may therefore differ from the original local-currency payment amount.
21. Account Credit
With the customer’s agreement, an approved refund may be applied as Alicarrier account credit instead of being returned through the original payment method.
Account credit may be used for future:
- Product purchases
- Warehouse services
- Packaging services
- International shipping
- Other Alicarrier services
The applicable validity period and conditions will be communicated when the credit is issued.

23. Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or replace any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Where mandatory consumer-protection law grants a customer stronger cancellation, return, refund, replacement, or remedy rights, the mandatory legal requirement will apply.
Eligibility may depend on the customer’s location, the nature of the transaction, whether the customer acts as a consumer or business, the type of product, and whether services have already begun with the customer’s authorization.
24. Fraudulent or Abusive Requests
Alicarrier may reject or investigate refund requests involving:
- False information
- Altered evidence
- Duplicate claims
- Intentional product damage
- Unauthorized payment disputes
- Misrepresentation of delivery status
- Abuse of supplier, carrier, or insurance claim procedures
- Other suspected fraudulent activity
We may suspend services while a claim is investigated and may provide relevant information to payment providers, carriers, insurers, or authorities where legally permitted.
25. Changes to This Policy
Alicarrier may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy to reflect changes in:
- Our services
- Supplier or marketplace rules
- Warehouse procedures
- Shipping methods
- Payment methods
- Carrier requirements
- Applicable laws
The updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
The version applicable to an order will normally be the version in effect when the order was confirmed, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
