How we work with carriers
Alicarrier is a sourcing and consolidation operator, not a carrier. We hold accounts with express carriers and postal networks, work with consolidation partners on volume lanes, and buy capacity lane by lane rather than reselling one carrier's product. That is why we can put a 0.5 kg parcel on an economy postal lane and a 30 kg urgent shipment on express air in the same week without either one being wrong for you.
Where a shipment has special characteristics — batteries, magnets, liquids, or branded and replica goods — we screen acceptance до того, як booking, because the acceptance rules differ by carrier and by destination country. A rejected parcel costs far more than a slower one.

We Choose the Channel, Not Just the Price
The cheapest quote is not always the cheapest shipment. A route that looks 20% cheaper can cost more once a parcel is held, re-labelled, or refused at the border. Our job is to price the whole journey, not just the first leg.

We screen the cargo first
Batteries, magnets, liquids, powders and branded or replica goods are accepted on different terms by different carriers. We check acceptance before we quote, so a parcel is never refused after it has left the warehouse.

We price the whole journey
Freight, destination VAT, duty and last-mile surcharges are calculated together, so the number you approve is the number the recipient pays. No surprise duty bills at the door.

We say which channel and why
Every quote states the carrier, the service level and the expected transit window. If a cheaper lane would cost you three extra days, or a faster one would exceed your budget, we tell you the trade-off instead of quietly taking it.

Before You Choose a Channel
Postal or express — which is cheaper?
Postal networks are almost always the cheapest option for parcels under 2 kg, but transit runs 12–15 business days against 6–12 for express. We route on weight, value and deadline, not on carrier brand alone.
How is my landed cost calculated across carriers?
Landed cost combines freight, duty and destination VAT. EU import VAT applies from the first cent with no duty relief below €150, while UK VAT is collected at checkout with duty relief up to £135. Our quotes itemise each component.
Do all carriers accept sensitive or restricted goods?
No. Battery-powered items, magnetic goods, liquids and branded or replica products are subject to different acceptance rules per carrier and per country. We screen sensitive cargo before booking to avoid customs holds or carrier rejection.
How do you calculate volumetric weight?
We bill on the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight: length × width × height in cm, divided by 6000. Oversized lightweight cartons often cost more than their scale weight suggests — ask us to run the calculation before you book.
What if my shipment is held by customs?
Most holds are documentation gaps: an incorrect HS code, a missing commercial invoice value, or a product description that does not match the invoice. We resolve these directly with the carrier and the destination broker, and we keep you informed rather than going quiet.
Can you ship my goods under a non-disclosure agreement?
Yes. We operate under NDA and our client and factory details are never disclosed to suppliers or carriers. Your brand, your factory, your customers.
